Sophia’s great-grandfather Frank was born in Pennsylvania, the son of Italian Sicilian parents, Orazio “Horace” Arico and Mary/Maria Guirere/Guerrera. Edna was the daughter of ethnic Danish parents from Germany, Otto Dall and Hannah M. Bendixen.
